Wanted to update you that I painted a dog portrait for writer friend Bobbi Buchanan. She is the editor of a literary book called New Southerner. Check it out by googling it, lots of great writing. I am now caught up...yay!

I had this simple settup outside.  That is the reason for the variation in the shadow placement.

I am experimenting with different color combinations.  I think the bottom one is a little too saturated, but I am using a new computer with a new editing software.  It is a pretty bold painting though so its pretty close.

I am embarking on an art spree for July.  I will post at least three a week...yay! 

Why #51.  Because I did 30 just in January and certainly have had 20 respectable paintings since then.  Actually I am probably at 100 but I started at 50 just to be sure.  I want to post only paintings I would buy myself, so that may mean only 3 a week, maybe 5 a week, we will see.
